Opinion polls indicate that most people want to see their politicians working together to make things better. What sort of leader could ahieve this? Is it personal skills we are looking for or a particular political viewpoint, or both? Or is this harmony a bit of a pipe dream given the sharply different views that now exist between conservatives and liberals? It seems that at the moment the Congressional leadership is hellbent on doing whatever it wants and the President is letting them do it. A leader would be banging heads together!

Wouldn't it be nice for a change for a leader to discipline his own party before throwing rocks at the other's glass house. Wouldn't it be nice for a person who ran on a campaign of "change" to change the harmonic tone between the two parties and actually require BOTH sides to work together transparently.
