SIDESWIPE - In his propaganda book and movie, An Inconvenient Truth, global warming alarmist Al Gore made use of contemporary weather patterns to support assertions of impending catastrophe. His selective use of temperature data in American cities carried no statistical validity but was globbled up by liberal political and media elites as incontrovertible proof that something bad was happening. With 25 inches of the white stuff covering Washington, DC, the snow boot is now on the other foot, so to speak. The city also just received its heaviest recorded December snowfall. Where is Mr. Gore’s anecdotal evidence now? Is he going to be telling us next that we are causing global cooling? Watch out for those polar bears on Pennsylvania Avenue!
